The Key Laboratory of Solid Waste Treatment and Environmental Safety of the Ministry of Education, established in 2009, applies different scales of experimental analysis and model simulation to focus on solid wastes such as municipal solid waste, industrial solid waste, and hazardous waste. Main research fields include treatment and disposal technology for solid waste, recycling technology for second generation materials, pollution control technology, environmental assessment and disaster solid waste treatment and disposal. We provide theoretical and engineering support for solving environmental pollution and resource utilization of solid waste in China. The laboratory is promoting the rapid development of solid waste treatment and resource recycling industry. At the same time, we provide scientific and effective programs to formulate and implement solid waste management and environmental safety policies in China.
